Towards a safe and just operating
space for EU agriculture

Università Cattolica Del Sacro Cuore (UCSC)

Location: Milan, Italy
Role in the project:

UCSC is involved both in the tasks related to supply side and in the tasks related to the demand side. Concerning the supply side, UCSC will investigate the farm-level impact of several CAP tools targeting the potential negative environmental impact of agriculture, considering both compulsory programmes and voluntary programmes. The impact will be investigated for both economic and environmental farm performances and econometrics as well as machine learning techniques will be applied. Concerning the demand side, UCSC will assess the impact of changes in consumer preferences as well as the role of food-related policies to drive those changes. In addition, experiments will be conducted to elicit the consumer’s choices towards two types of food: “nature-based” food and “high-tech” food.  UCSC also contributes to project communication, results dissemination and exploitation in WP11
