BrightSpace presented at the EU Climate Dialogues Project – Low Carbon Modelling Workshop

We are excited to share that Marta Kozicka and Ipsita Kumar recently featured BrightSpace in their presentation at the EU Climate Dialogues (EUCDs) Project – IND 01: Low Carbon Modelling workshop, held on May 9-10, 2024, in New Delhi, India.

The workshop brought together an impressive array of participants, including representatives from the European Commission in Brussels, DG CLIMA, the European Commission India office, the Government of India, GIZ, and the modelling research community of India. This diverse group of experts and stakeholders gathered to discuss and advance low carbon modelling initiatives with a focus on land cover and land use change.

Marta and Ipsita, representing the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) team, delivered a presentation on EU modelling and policy assistance. They highlighted the significant contributions of the GLOBIOM model to the BrightSpace project, showcasing our efforts in supporting sustainable development and climate action.

The workshop provided an excellent platform for exchanging ideas and forging new collaborations, reinforcing the vital role of modelling and research in addressing global climate challenges. We are proud of Marta and Ipsita’s outstanding representation of BrightSpace and look forward to continuing our impactful work in the field of low carbon modelling.
