On Wednesday, 28 May 2025, members of the BrightSpace Executive Board convened online to steer key decisions and upcoming activities for the Horizon Europe initiative. The meeting agenda covered planning, stakeholder engagement, and project representation at major events.
📅 1. Annual Consortium Meeting 2026
The Board agreed to host the next annual BrightSpace gathering in March, tentatively in Piacenza/Milan, Italy. Discussions focused on the duration, core themes, and rail logistics. Final dates and a detailed programme are expected later.
📋 2. EC Stakeholder Meeting (Brussels, 8 May)
Participants reflected on outcomes from the “Vision: Future of Agriculture” event organized by DG Agri. The Board endorsed follow-up actions, including capturing stakeholder inputs in future modelling and communication plans.
🔍 3. Modelling Workshop Follow-Up (8 April)
Key takeaways from the April modelling workshop were reviewed. The Board agreed to incorporate recommendations into ongoing WP3 and WP4 model development, ensuring stakeholder insights are embedded in upcoming deliverables.
🌍 4. EAAE Congress in Bonn (26–29 August 2025)
BrightSpace confirmed its presence at the EAAE International Congress, with planned panel contributions and poster sessions selected to highlight model-based policy analysis and stakeholder engagement activities.
🤝 5. Stakeholder Engagement & Retreat
The Board discussed strategies for inviting stakeholders to the upcoming Retreat, reinforcing ties with NGOs, industry representatives, and EU-level dialogue platforms.
💬 6. Communication Plans
Key communication priorities focus on issuing the upcoming project newsletter. Coordination with ACT4CAP27 and LAMASUS communications teams about issuing a joint position paper was also highlighted.

Preparations for the upcoming DG Agri Cluster Workshop scheduled for September was discussed.
