WP12: Executive Board Meeting – 25 June 2025

On 25 June 2025, the BrightSpace WP leaders convened for a coordination meeting to review progress, align on upcoming deliverables, and plan key project engagements for the second half of the year. The meeting brought together WP leaders and members of the executive board to strengthen coordination across work packages and prepare for major milestones.

Key Points Discussed:

🔹 Upcoming Deliverables and Milestones
Partners shared updates on progress toward the next set of deliverables, ensuring that technical outputs are aligned and contributions are on track for timely submission.

🔹 Annual Meeting – March 2026 in Italy
Planning is underway for the next BrightSpace Annual Meeting, which will take place in Piacenza and Milan. The meeting will provide an important platform for cross-WP collaboration, stakeholder dialogue, and showcasing results from the second project year.

🔹 EAAE Congress – 26–29 August 2025 in Bonn
Several BrightSpace teams will present at the upcoming European Association of Agricultural Economists (EAAE) Congress. Contributions will feature research on modelling agricultural sustainability, policy scenarios, and the Safe and Just Operating Space (SJOS) framework.

🔹 Stakeholder Engagement Activities
The team discussed the upcoming stakeholder retreat, with a focus on identifying participants and refining the format to foster meaningful exchange between BrightSpace researchers and key policy and sectoral stakeholders.

🔹 Discussion of reflections from position Paper Meeting at DG Agri – 18 June in Brussels
Reflections from the recent Brussels meeting were shared. The BrightSpace team contributed to a position paper drafted by the 3 Horizon projects LAMASUS, BrightSpace and ACT4CAP27, aimed at shaping long-term EU agri-food policies based on robust model-based evidence.

🔹 Work Package Updates
Each WP shared a brief progress update, including recent deliverables, scientific outputs, and plans for cross-WP integration in the months ahead.

The meeting concluded with a review of the next scheduled coordination meeting set for July.
