WP12 Meeting | 25 February 2026

On 25 February 2025, the BrightSpace WP12 Executive Board (EB) convened online to review project progress, align on upcoming milestones, and strengthen coordination across work packages. The meeting reaffirmed the project’s strong performance and outlined key actions for the months ahead.

The consortium received positive feedback from the European Commission, confirming that project results are progressing satisfactorily. The requested revisions to RP2 deliverables are primarily aimed at improving clarity—particularly regarding the presentation of figures, tables, and methodological limitations—rather than altering core findings. A revised submission timeline is currently being coordinated, with an expected deadline set for the end of April 2026.

Preparations for the upcoming Annual Meeting, scheduled for 10–12 March in Cremona, Italy, are well underway. With over 40 participants already registered, the event will feature bilateral Work Package meetings and dedicated sessions for the Agri-Food Model Young Researchers Network (AMYRN), including poster presentations to foster early-career engagement.

Stakeholder engagement remains a central pillar of the project. The Executive Board discussed plans for an upcoming online thematic seminar later this year, alongside preparations for the third stakeholder retreat, which is expected to take place in early 2027. These activities will further strengthen dialogue between researchers, policy actors, and stakeholders.

Progress was also reported across several Work Packages. Advancements include ongoing work on sustainability indicators within the Safe and Just Operating Space (SJOS) framework, continued development of scenario narratives, and preparations for modelling activities to be discussed in greater depth at the Annual Meeting. In parallel, partners are advancing dissemination efforts, including conference contributions and experimental research collaborations.

Finally, the Board reviewed upcoming deliverables, peer review processes, and key events planned for 2026, which will provide important opportunities to present and discuss BrightSpace results with broader audiences.

The next WP12 Executive Board meeting is scheduled for 25 March 2025 and will focus on planning the project’s Final Conference.
