Towards a safe and just operating
space for EU agriculture

WP11 Meeting | 26 May 2025

On 26 May 2025, the Work Package 11 (WP11) team convened for its regular online bi-monthly coordination meeting. WP11 focuses on stakeholder engagement, capacity building, communication, and exploitation—key pillars supporting the project’s broader goals of promoting evidence-based agri-food policy development in Europe.

Key Meeting Highlights:

🔹 Stakeholder Engagement – 2nd BrightSpace Stakeholder Retreat
Preparations are underway for the second BrightSpace Stakeholder Retreat, titled “The Crystal Ball – Futures of EU Agriculture”. Scheduled for 23–24 September 2025 near Brussels, this lunch-to-lunch event will bring together policy experts, researchers, and key agri-food stakeholders. The retreat task force has been established, and invitation mails will be sent in the coming weeks.

🔹 Capacity Building – AGMEMOD Training & CAPRI Course 2025
The AGMEMOD Training 2025 will take place from 17–20 June in The Hague, co-organised by the Thünen Institute and Wageningen Economic Research (WSER). Currently, the CAPRI Course 2025 – Applied Data Analysis: Introduction to and Application of the Partial Equilibrium Model CAPRI in Market and Policy Analysis is ongoing until 17 July.

🔹 Communication – Newsletter & Conference Outreach
Partners are invited to contribute last-minute content for the upcoming BrightSpace newsletter. Preparations are also ongoing for a joint position paper with LAMASUS and ACT4CAP27. Communication support will also be coordinated around BrightSpace’s presence at the EAAE Congress in August 2025 — input from participating teams is requested.

🔹 Exploitation – Planning for Autumn Workshops
WP11 began outlining plans for exploitation workshops to be held in autumn 2025, aiming to support uptake and impact of project results. Interim reporting is also on the agenda.
