The BrightSpace consortium held its WP11 bi-monthly meeting on 26 January 2026 (10:30–12:00), marking the first WP11 meeting of the year. Partners reviewed progress and next steps across stakeholder engagement, capacity building, communication, dissemination, and exploitation activities.
The meeting opened with an overview of key outcomes from the 2nd European Commission Review Meeting, held on 22 January 2026, with particular attention to follow-up actions and implications from the WP11 perspective. This was followed by discussions on ongoing stakeholder engagement and upcoming capacity-building activities.
Several forthcoming capacity events were highlighted. The CAPRI Developer Seminar 2026 will take place on 17–18 March 2026 at Campus Nord of Humboldt University in Berlin. In addition, applications remain open until the end of January for the LAMASUS–BrightSpace Tools4CAP Summer School 2026, scheduled for 8–12 June 2026 at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) in Laxenburg, Austria.
Since the previous WP11 meeting in November 2025, communication and dissemination activities have been particularly dynamic. Recent highlights include the dissemination of the joint perspective paper at the IFSB Meeting and the 43rd SCAR Plenary in late November, reporting on the WP10 Transition Narratives Meeting in December, and the publication of the sixth BrightSpace newsletter. Further activities covered participation in the EU Agri-Food Days 2025, intensified collaboration with sister projects RATION and DETECTIVE, targeted exploitation discussions with WP leaders, communication around the 2nd EC Review Meeting of BrightSpace, and the publication of a new open access scientific article.
Partners also exchanged experiences related to compiling communication and dissemination activities for the 2nd Reporting Period, identifying lessons learned and opportunities to streamline internal reporting processes.
The meeting concluded with a brief update on exploitation activities, which currently focus on identifying WP-level outputs. This work builds on the exploitation meeting with WP leaders held on 15 January 2026 and feeds into preparations for the consortium-level exploitation workshop planned during the BrightSpace Annual Meeting in Cremona from 10–12 March 2026.
WP11 partners will reconvene on 23 March 2026 to continue coordinating engagement, communication, exploitation, and impact-driven activities across the project.
