Towards a safe and just operating
space for EU agriculture

Upcoming: BrightSpace General Assembly | 10-12 March 2026, Cremona, IT

Preparations are underway for the BrightSpace 2026 General Assembly, which will take place from 10 to 12 March 2026 in Cremona, Italy. The meeting will be hosted at a local technical organisation of the Department of Agricultural and Food Economics at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, and will bring together project partners for three days of strategic reflection, technical exchange, and forward planning.

The General Assembly will serve as a key milestone to review progress achieved to date, reflect on feedback from the second European Commission review, and align activities for the upcoming reporting period. Core objectives include strengthening integration across work packages, advancing modelling and IT developments, consolidating evidence on technological, structural, and policy drivers, and further developing scenarios, narratives, and interactive roadmaps to support impact-oriented project outputs.

The programme combines plenary sessions with in-depth technical discussions, bilateral work package meetings, and breakout groups. Dedicated sessions will focus on communication, stakeholder engagement, capacity building, and exploitation, alongside updates on health modelling, socio-economic and environmental indicators, scenario implementation, and policy relevance at EU and international levels. Time is also reserved for cross-work-package exchanges to enhance coherence between analytical work and scenario development.

The final day will concentrate on exploitation strategy, key project messages, and preparations for the next reporting period, ensuring that BrightSpace results are positioned for uptake and long-term impact. Optional bilateral meetings and informal networking opportunities will complement the formal programme and support continued collaboration across the consortium.

The 2026 General Assembly in Cremona will provide an important platform to consolidate achievements, address strategic challenges, and set a clear direction for the final phase of the BrightSpace project.
