Towards a safe and just operating
space for EU agriculture

Trainings in Modelling

A key component of the BrightSpace capacity-building strategy is the promotion and dissemination of four well-established models used in the project: AGMEMOD, CAPRI, GLOBIOMMAGNET. These models are essential tools for scenario analysis in the agri-food sector, assessing future developments and policy impacts.

The training programme serves two primary objectives:

  1. Expanding the number of early-career researchers who acquire foundational knowledge in modelling and encouraging them to integrate modelling approaches into their doctoral and postdoctoral research.
  2. Familiarising policymakers and stakeholders with model-based analysis, encouraging them to incorporate modelling insights into policy advisory work – either by utilising model results, adopting models within their organisations, or collaborating with institutions with established modelling expertise.
