The BrightSpace project is represented at the 18th Annual Meeting of the Integrated Assessment Modeling Consortium (IAMC), taking place from 11–13 November 2025 in Armação dos Búzios, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The IAMC Annual Meeting is a leading international forum for researchers developing and applying integrated assessment models (IAMs) — essential tools that connect insights from economics, energy, land use, and climate systems to inform pathways towards sustainable development and climate resilience.
Among the scientific contributions, Marta Kozicka (IIASA) will deliver an oral presentation attributed to BrightSpace, alongside other research collaborations:
🎓 Title: Intra-country Demographic Differentiation in Global Food Demand: Implications for consumption, environmental impacts and equity of policy interventions
Authors: Marta Kozicka, Michael Wögerer, Petr Havlík, David Leclère, Amanda Palazzo, Stefan Frank
Her presentation explores how demographic differentiation within countries affects global food demand patterns and the resulting environmental and equity impacts of policy interventions — key themes that resonate strongly with BrightSpace’s work on modeling safe and just transitions in the agri-food system.
The IAMC Annual Meeting provides a unique opportunity for the BrightSpace community to engage with global experts, exchange methods and insights, and strengthen links between integrated assessment modeling and agri-food sustainability research in Europe and beyond.
📅 Dates: 11–13 November 2025
